About the Project

Sierra Luna Energy Storage (Sierra Luna) is proposed near Avondale, Arizona on approximately 18.5 acres of vacant land, where it interconnects to critical transmission infrastructure at the Salt River Project (SRP) Rudd Substation. This facility will provide much-needed energy storage capacity and services to SRP’s electrical grid in the Phoenix metro area, enhancing grid reliability and accelerating the integration of locally produced renewable energy.
